Spence, I appreciate this tribute to Andrea GIbson. When they served as Poet Laureate of Colorado, I learned of Andrea's remarkable poetry and their LGBTQ+ activism. Thank you for honoring Andrea's life so well.

I love that so many of us connect profoundly to this person, so pure, vibrant, and utterly brilliant.

It is so hard when we lose such a beautiful spirit so young. May we all continue to honor their legacy. Well done!

If I have a chance or opportunity to homeschool my children one day, we'll be sure to have a segment called "Poetry with Andrea Gibson".

Spence, thank you for sharing this so I could learn about Andrea Gibson. That day I also saw a post on Andrea by Elizabeth Gilbert so I had to go on a treasure hunt. Now I know why you asked for examples of Things That Don’t Suck. And now I am a subscriber.

I will share their poetry w/ my daughter and she may very well share it w/ her students over time. And so the circle of life and the spheres of influence interconnect. With gratitude.

Interconnectedness here sprouts from grief and joy and power of poetry, and that of A.G. in particular. I'm glad you went on that treasure hunt, Sherri.

A beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul. They are going to be so profoundly missed. I'm glad they made as many videos as they did so we can see and hear them still.

So true. A bizarre modern day treasure: the ability to look to videos of a human that seems to still be right there in front of us.
